If you are planning to go to the Pantanal, be aware that you are likely to be in a "dorm" room with 4 beds and 1 bath, most EW expeditions have double rooms, at least for couples. It can work out OK, but don't be surprised. Also, the way they assigned tasks on both our teams had us bouncing between tasks, so there was less continuity than on most EW expeditions, even ones with the variety of tasks we had on the Pantanal; and we were disappointed that even though we asked at the beginning of the team, we never were able to work together and have the shared bat experience we would have enjoyed so much.  If you are interested in going on one of the Pantanal Expeditions and want more information, please send us email and let us know, we have some recommendations that might be helpful (mfeay@att.net).
